Fitness Classes

Strength, flexibility and sweat. Something for everyone. The CRA is excited to offer a variety of fitness classes to meet your needs. Classes are held at the South Side Gym Studio (upstairs).

Sporty Moms
For new moms and moms-to-be, this class offers a complete workout of low impact or step cardio, body toning and stretching. Involve your baby in your workout (if you want) as babies are welcomed in the workout room with their moms.

Tuesdays and Thursdays
10:30 to 11:15 am at the RecPlex

Fit 4 Life (Seniors)
Designed for the active mature client, this low impact fitness program includes a cardiovascular component, light strength training and stretching in a friendly atmosphere.

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Strength and Stability
This class integrates some of the more traditional exercises like squats, lunges and push-ups with some of the latest functional exercises and equipment. Exercises are offered at a variety of levels so you can choose the level thats best for your body, goals and comfort. Note: this class is a good addition for those concerned with osteoporosis or who are on weight loss programs.

Cardio and Strength
Why not add this class that includes a combination of movements that increase your heart rate as well as strengthening activities to the repertoire. This is a fantastic total body workout!

Core Energy Flow
This class fuses the disciplines of core conditioning, yoga, pilates and dance to produce long, lean muscles. We will engage in movements that increase awareness of the breath, encourage proper alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles. Why not try something new?

Cardio Cycle - New Early Morning Feature
Calorie burning at its best! Feel the wind in your hair as you rev up your metabolism in this 45-minute heart pumping cycle class. We cater to all levels of exercisers. You work out at your own pace, guaranteeing an awesome workout!

Fencing
The goal of our fencing program is to provide an opportunity for adults to enjoy physical activity in the fun environment that is fencing. A session of recreational fencing along with a session of competitive fencing will be offered. The disciplines of foil, epee and sabre will be taught, along with basic fundamental skills of balance, coordination, agility, speed and reaction through footwork, technical skills and an introduction to bouting and tactics. Fencers will get an opportunity to specialize in one weapon by the end of the program.
