Membership Types

Memberships fall into three categories; Regular, Ordinary and Associate Members. The Wing Commander approves the categories of memberships based on DND guidelines.

• members of the Regular Force and their dependants
• members of the Reserve Force while on Class B or C service and their family members
• foreign military personnel on active duty with the Canadian Forces and their family members

Ordinary Members
Membership is subject to the approval of the Wing Commander and includes all Canex patrons listed in Chapter 6 of CFP 110. Ordinary membership shall be for one year, with no guarantee of renewal for further one-year terms. The main types of Ordinary members are as follows:

• members of the Reserve Force while on Class A service
• former members of the Canadian Forces in receipt of an annuity and their dependants
• full-time civilian employees of 8 Wing Trenton and their dependants
• former DND civilian employees in receipt of an annuity and their dependants

Associate Members
Anyone who does not meet the criteria of a Regular or Ordinary member is considered an Associate member. Membership is subject to the approval of the Wing Commander.
